Cardiff by the Sea - Usually referred to as Cardiff, is a beach community located between Encinitas and Solana Beach in San Diego County, California. Carlsbad - Home of nearly 105,000 residents. Carlsbad is known for it's 50-acre flower fields. Flowers bloom in early March. There are several garden exhibits, walking paths and gift shop. Coronado - Home to three famous resorts including the famous "Hotel del Coronado" built in 1888. The downtown district has it's many shops, restaurants, and live theatres. Ocean Beach- This community of Ocean Beach includes 742 acres. The Ocean Beach pier extends 1971 feet into the ocean and is the second longest pier on the west coast and the longest concrete pier in the world. Its unique T-shape at the end of the pier adds 360 feet to the south and 193 feet to the north. Oceanside - This Northern town is the third largest city in San Diego. The city has a population of about 180,000. The city is located just south of Camp Pendleton, the busiest military base in the United States. Pacific Beach- A hot spot for many, known for it's nightlife, pubs, shops, boardwalk, cafe's and fish taco's. Pacific Beach borders La Jolla to the North and Mission Beach to the South.  The nightlife in Pacific Beach caters towards a younger crowd than the nightlife in downtown San Diego. While largely populated by young people, surfers, and college students, the population is becoming older, more professional, and more affluent due to rising property prices and rentals. Point Loma - Approx. 48,000 people reside in this southern end of San Diego's seaside community that seperates the San Diego Bay and Pacific Ocean. It gets it's name "Loma" the spanish word for "hill" because of it's hilly peninsula.  The bayside residential area is called La Playa. The best known landmark in Point Loma is the Old Point Loma Lighthouse, an icon occasionally used to represent the entire city of San Diego.
 
Solana Beach - Over 13,000 reside in this 4 square mile upscale, artsy beach community. The City of Encinitas to the north, and the City of Del Mar to the south. The beach front is divided into four main Beach Parks: Fletcher Cove, Tide Beach Park, Seascape Surf, and Del Mar Shores.
